أحمل الوزرَ والأمانةَ والدي

أحمل الوزرَ والأمانةَ والدي

نَ جميعاً وكلّ ثقلٍ ثقيلِ

نَ جميعاً وكلّ ثقلٍ ثقيلِ

I bear the burden of sin, the trust, and debt,

All together, and every heavy burden—

غيركم يا بني ثوابةَ يا مَنْ

غيركم يا بني ثوابةَ يا مَنْ

ليس شيء لبغضهم بعديلِ

ليس شيء لبغضهم بعديلِ

But not you, O sons of Thawāba, O you

Whom nothing rivals as objects of hatred.

لو تُسمَّونَ بالذي تستحقُّو

لو تُسمَّونَ بالذي تستحقُّو

ن خُصصتم بأحرف التثقيلِ

ن خُصصتم بأحرف التثقيلِ

Were you named as you deserve,

You would be singled out with heavy letters.

شهدَ اللَّهُ أنكم كلُّ شيء

شهدَ اللَّهُ أنكم كلُّ شيء

باردٍ جامدٍ ثقيلٍ وبيلِ

باردٍ جامدٍ ثقيلٍ وبيلِ

God bears witness that you are everything

Cold, inert, heavy, and baneful.
