On Abu Ishaq's face is a cleft like his arse.

Its story is not the one he makes public.

He says it is the mark of a blow

From one of the Zanj's swords, when he tells the tale.

And the Zanj did not strike him in the face; rather, he saw

Their cocks, and a cunt split open in his face.

So they fucked him in a face with scant modesty,

And in an arse that meets the spears and endures.

He did not flee them; they expelled him, and indeed he

Puts forward a plan to return, then withdraws it.

Only the women expelled him, when he milked

The pent-up seed of every cock—and the jealous are roused.

He raided the cunts' share with his arse,

So they were left, their dwelling barren of fucking.

And that is not from any charm in him, except that he is

    One who swoons during sex, cries 'My life for you!' to his fuckers, and snorts;

And that his arse used to give freely of its money,

And give gifts to whoever mounted it, giving in abundance.

And surely Ibrahim will one day make a leap

To the Zanj—he never stops thinking of it—

So that al-Nazzam may know that his namesake

Agrees with his doctrine when he makes his leap.

And how could he bear to forgo each cockhead

For which the taster yearns as he remembers?

I shall give him a poem every day,

Which will make him wish al-Mudabbir had never begotten him.
