May the auspicious stars and the celestial sphere greet you on my behalf,

And God, the righteous, and the angel.

And may fortunes nurse you with their flowing milk,

A nursing followed by the udder filling anew.

A greeting my affection sent ahead to you,

Before we meet, its riders moving at a brisk trot.

Your ear delights in it when it comes

To you, as does the palate of whoever returns it.

    O newcomer, there shone forth

Your radiant brow, and through it the darkness cleared.

You have arrived safe, and glory is confined

To you, while bounty is shared.

And the honor of the neighbor and whoever visits you

Is guarded, while wealth is open to plunder.

O seekers of the woven robes of

Praise, with the most precious metal from which coins are struck:

You have sought your due, and it is right that

What you seek and its attainment be joined.

May you ever remain lords, bringing smiles to

Kingship, while your fortune's enemies are laughingstocks.

Sought for the aid of your influence and hands; at

Your doors lies the supplicants' field of contest.

The prayer of one who always seeks refuge in you,

As long as stillness and motion remain within him.
