From your evil and your harm there is no

Not due to your evil nor to your harm

escape, nor shelter from the south wind.

Overfull or a tad for the south wind

قلَّ مِنْ خيركم نصيبي ولكنْ

قلَّ مِنْ خيركم نصيبي ولكنْ

أنا من شَرّكم كثيرُ النصيبِ

أنا من شَرّكم كثيرُ النصيبِ

My share of your goodness is meager, but

Little of your good is my share but

I have an ample share of your evil.

Of your evil much is my share

إن تباعدت نالني من بعيدٍ

إن تباعدت نالني من بعيدٍ

أو تقرَّبتُ نالني من قريبِ

أو تقرَّبتُ نالني من قريبِ

If I keep my distance, it reaches me from afar;

If you distance, from afar I receive

or if I draw near, it reaches me from close by.

If I approach, nearby I receive
