How long—how much longer—must this reproach go on?

are faithful regard and an obliging response.

that your own beckoning has guided toward you.

Indeed, your sweet manners are mirrored

by sweet drops of water in the burning heat of thirst.

Thus they quench the thirst of those who hope in you when you grant admittance,

but when you shut yourself away, they are a mirage.
