Al-Ḥuraythī has foul breath

that leaves the house stinking,

تصرع الفارسَ الشجا

تصرع الفارسَ الشجا

عَ إذا كرَّ أو ونَى

عَ إذا كرَّ أو ونَى

felling the brave horseman

whether he charges or flags.

إنما نحنُ في كني

إنما نحنُ في كني

فٍ إذا كان عندنا

فٍ إذا كان عندنا

We are simply in a privy

whenever he is with us.
