وماand not قَتلُkilling بعضِsome of الحيِّthe tribe بعضاًothers بناهكٍsapping
وما قَتلُ بعضِ الحيِّ بعضاً بناهكٍ
قُواهُits strength إذاwhen ماemphatic particle جاءcomes حيٌّa tribe يحاربُهْfights it
قُواهُ إذا ما جاء حيٌّ يحاربُهْ
Nor does the killing of some tribesmen by others of their tribe sap
Some lives lost fighting each other
Its strength when another tribe comes to fight it.
Are no match when anotherLife comes to fight them
وماand not لطُمbuffeting بعضِsome of الموجِthe waves فيin البحرِthe sea بعضَهanother part of it
وما لطُم بعضِ الموجِ في البحرِ بعضَه
بمانِعهِpreventing it تغريقdrowning منwhoever هوhe راكبُهْriding it
بمانِعهِ تغريق من هو راكبُهْ
Nor does the buffeting of waves against one another in the sea
And waves clashing in the sea
Keep it from drowning whoever rides upon it.
Don't intend to drown those who ride them
