The spawn of fornication asks me what my turban is for:

Is it for illness, or as an adornment for maidens?

So I told him: I did not wear it because of illness,

nor as an adornment for filthy harlots.

But ever since I was a child and an adolescent,

and a young man, I have been bent on hating caps.

Nor do I desire to wear tunics and coats,

nor is that what I approve of in clothing.

But you are a man pleased with them and with wearing them,

and your heart is infatuated with love of hooded cloaks.

For many a hooded cloak, no effort was spared in strangling its throat,

and imprisoning it in the dark recesses of prisons,

and kissing it when you loosened its tether

and coated both sides of its head with a yellow stain like wars dye.

And you coated it when you loosened its tether,

with a wars-colored yellow substance from the filth of your belly.

So if I wear a turban of pure cloth,

then you wear the shame of gatherings as your turban.
