وللشبابand youth has حِبالاتٌsnares يصيدit hunts بهاwith them
وللشباب حِبالاتٌ يصيد بها
وغُرّةٌand a radiant brow يدّريهاstalks it كلُّevery مُصْطادِhunter
وغُرّةٌ يدّريها كلُّ مُصْطادِ
And youth has snares with which it hunts,
The youth has ropes with which he fishes
And a radiant brow that every hunter stalks.
And a lure which he maneuvers for every catch
يُصْبِيit beguiles بصبوتهthrough its passion المصْبىthe one beguiled بروْنَقِهِby its splendor
يُصْبِي بصبوته المصْبى بروْنَقِهِ
كلاeach of the two جنيبيهits companion steeds منقادٌyielding لمنقادِto one who yields
كلا جنيبيه منقادٌ لمنقادِ
Through its passion, it beguiles the one beguiled by its splendor;
He intoxicates with his voice the one intoxicated by his grace
Each of its two companion steeds yields to one who himself yields.
Each of his sides obedient to the other's lead
