And water whose pristine surface was swept clear of specks
Water whose surface the wind has swept clear of motes
by a wind richly fragrant in late afternoon and early morning.

In it lingers a fragrance from what drifted above it:
Wafting the fragrance the clouds have left behind,
the east wind's breeze, coursing over blossoms and flowers.
The morning breeze flows over light and flowers.
