وصَفْعانٍand a much-slapped fellow يجودُgives generously بمصْفَعَيْهwith his two slapping palms
وصَفْعانٍ يجودُ بمصْفَعَيْه
ويصفعand slaps نفسَهُhimself فيamong الصَّافعيناthose who slap
ويصفع نفسَهُ في الصَّافعينا
And a much-slapped fellow is generous with both his palms,
With his palms he strikes generously
And slaps himself among those who slap,
And strikes himself among the strikers
كهَدْمِlike the demolition by المُشْركينَthe polytheists بيوتَhouses of سُوءٍevil
كهَدْمِ المُشْركينَ بيوتَ سُوءٍ
بأيديهِمْwith their hands وأيديand the hands of المؤمنيناthe believers
بأيديهِمْ وأيدي المؤمنينا
Like the polytheists demolishing houses of evil
Like the destruction of the homes of polytheists
With their own hands and the hands of the believers.
By their hands and the hands of believers
أباO father of حفصٍHafs جزاكmay He reward you اللهGod خَيْراًwith good
أبا حفصٍ جزاك الله خَيْراً
فأنتfor you are السيدthe lord المِفْضالُthe munificent one فيناamong us
فأنت السيد المِفْضالُ فينا
Abu Hafs, may God reward you with good,
Abu Hafs, may God reward you well
For you are the munificent lord among us.
For you are the most virtuous among us
قفاكyour nape لمنfor whoever أرادَwishes الصَّفْعَslapping وقفٌan endowment
قفاك لمن أرادَ الصَّفْعَ وقفٌ
وعِرْسكand your wife مِنْحةٌa gift للنائكيناfor those who fuck
وعِرْسك مِنْحةٌ للنائكينا
Your nape is an endowment for whoever wishes to slap,
Your stand is against those who intend harm
And your wife is a gift for those who fuck.
Your wedding gift is a blessing for the complainers
