يموتُdie الكاشحونill-wishers وأنتand you تحياlive
يموتُ الكاشحون وأنت تحيا
May you recover from your stumble, O son of Yahya.
May the ill-wishers die while you live.
علىdespite أنthe fact that المماتdeath لكلِّfor every حيٍّliving being
على أن الممات لكلِّ حيٍّ
وُقيتَyou were protected بهthrough him منfrom الحَدَثانtime’s calamities مَحياduring life
وُقيتَ به من الحَدَثان مَحيا
Though death awaits every living soul
through whom you were shielded in life from time’s calamities.
