كسته القنا حُلَّةً من دمٍ
فأضحتso it became لدىin the presence of اللَّهِGod منof أُرجوانِpurple
فأضحت لدى اللَّهِ من أُرجوانِ
The spears clothed him in a robe of blood;
The canal was clothed in a garment of blood
So, in God's presence, it became a robe of purple.
Thus it became for God a robe of purple
حَذَتْهُgranted him معانقةُthe embrace of الدراعينthe armored warriors
حَذَتْهُ معانقةُ الدراعين
معانقةَthe embrace of القَاصراتthe modest women الحسانthe beautiful ones
معانقةَ القَاصرات الحسان
The embrace of the armored warriors granted him
Embraced by the hugging of arms
The embrace of the beautiful, modest women.
