Beauty flows from the braids on their heads

Until their braids touch their feet.

My eyes had never seen, before their faces

And their locks, a light that bears darkness.

Of each maiden, tender in youth and innocent,

Who captivates minds and dazzles reason,

Like the full moon in visage and age—

And count its nights as years for her.
