لأُثبتنّ أبا عثمان في الغدرَهْ

لأُثبتنّ أبا عثمان في الغدرَهْ

الناكثين بإخوان لهم برَرهْ

الناكثين بإخوان لهم برَرهْ

I shall surely list Abu Uthman among the traitors,

I will prove Abu Uthman's treachery,

who break faith with brothers devoted to them.

The breakers of covenants find excuses for them,

ولا أقول إذا ما عُدّ عاشرهمْ

ولا أقول إذا ما عُدّ عاشرهمْ

لكن أقول بحقٍ أول العشره

لكن أقول بحقٍ أول العشره

And when he is counted, I shall not call him their tenth,

I do not say so when he is counted as one of them,

but rightly call him the first of the ten.

But I say with truth he is the first of the ten.
