كسِلَ الأيرُ أو ينشّطه أيرٌ

كسِلَ الأيرُ أو ينشّطه أيرٌ

وكذا لم تأنَّس الأشكالُ

وكذا لم تأنَّس الأشكالُ

The penis grows sluggish, or another penis rouses it;

The fate is made lazy or energized by fate

And likewise, kindred forms have not grown familiar.

And so the forms did not become familiar

فهْو يعلو طوراً ويعلوه طوراً

فهْو يعلو طوراً ويعلوه طوراً

قِرنُه هكذا البقاعُ تُدالُ

قِرنُه هكذا البقاعُ تُدالُ

So it mounts at one time, and at another is mounted

Thus it rises a level and it raises it a level

By its rival; thus lands change hands.

Its era turns over the lands like this
