يا ذا الذي منه التَّنَكْ

يا ذا الذي منه التَّنَكْ

كُرُ والتغيُّرُ والنُّبُوُّ

كُرُ والتغيُّرُ والنُّبُوُّ

O you, from whom come estrangement,

O you, from whom emanates

and change, and aversion:

Misery, change, and prophecy

إن كانَ أدرككَ الملا

إن كانَ أدرككَ الملا

لُ فقد تداركني السُّلُوُّ

لُ فقد تداركني السُّلُوُّ

If weariness has overtaken you,

If oblivion has overtaken you

then release from longing has come to my rescue.

Solace has overtaken me
