تَضَوَّعتِgave off a scent الأنباءُthe reports عنهabout him بنفحةٍwith a whiff

زويتُI screwed up لهاat it وجهيmy face منbecause of الخُبثthe foulness والنتنِand the stench
زويتُ لها وجهي من الخُبث والنتنِ
The reports about him gave off a whiff
The news of him was imbued with a fragrance
At which I screwed up my face from the foulness and stench.
