I saw a bouquet of narcissus,

fresh, in the hand of the one I love;

In the palm of my beloved so fair

فكأنها قصبُ الزُمر

رُد أنبتتْ ذهباً وفضّهْ

رُد أنبتتْ ذهباً وفضّهْ

so it seemed like stalks of emerald

It was as though a reed flute

that had sprouted gold and silver.

Grew forth gold and silver there
