يا حافظَ الدينِ الذي

أصبح فرداً علَما

O Hafiz al-Din, who

O protector of the faith who

has become a peerless, illustrious figure,

Became a guiding star

ومنْ سحابُ جودِه

ومنْ سحابُ جودِه

على الأنامِ قد هَمى

على الأنامِ قد هَمى

and whose cloud of bounty

And from the clouds of his generosity

has poured its rain upon mankind.

Rained on the people

أطلَعْتَ في شمسِ العُلا

أطلَعْتَ في شمسِ العُلا

بالمكرماتِ أنجُما

بالمكرماتِ أنجُما

You have raised within the sun of eminence

You rose in the sun of glory

stars through noble deeds.

With noble deeds, stars

وجُدْتَ حتى لم تدعْ

وجُدْتَ حتى لم تدعْ

من يتشكّى عدَما

من يتشكّى عدَما

And you gave until you left none

You were found so that you left

who complained of want.

No one in want

الله قد عافى بك ال

الله قد عافى بك ال

مَجْدَ معاً والكَرَما

مَجْدَ معاً والكَرَما

God has, through you, healed

God has restored through you

glory and generosity alike.

فالحمدُ لله الذي

فالحمدُ لله الذي

أذهبَ عنّا الألما

أذهبَ عنّا الألما

So praise be to God, who

has taken pain away from us.

Took away our pain

أصبحْتُ لا أملكُ ما

أصبحْتُ لا أملكُ ما

بين الأنامِ دِرْهَما

بين الأنامِ دِرْهَما

I have come to own nothing

I do not possess anything

among mankind—not a single dirham.

Of money among the people

فاجعَلْ نداكَ مُنعِماً

فاجعَلْ نداكَ مُنعِماً

لجَرْح فَقري مَرْهَما

لجَرْح فَقري مَرْهَما

So make your bounty, graciously,

So make me at your side a beneficiary

a balm for the wound of my poverty.

وابقَ سعيداً مُسعداً

وابقَ سعيداً مُسعداً

موفّقاً مُسلَّما

موفّقاً مُسلَّما

And remain happy, making others happy,

And remain happy, making happy

granted success and kept safe.
