وكساهُand clothed it حُلَّةَa robe ريشِهِof his plumage الطَّاوسُthe peacock
A land to which the dove lent her collar,
and which the peacock clothed in a robe of his plumage.
فكأَنَّماso it is as though الأَنهارُthe rivers منهof it سُلاَفَةٌchoice wine
وكأَنَّand as though ساحاتِthe expanses of الرّياضِthe gardens كُؤوسُcups
So its rivers seem like the choicest wine,
and the expanses of its gardens seem like cups.
