    O king, beneath whom

the kings of the earth now stand,

and you, exalted in honor, whom

the star longs with all its might to be,

and you, Yāsir son of Bilāl, the one

    singled out for treasured praises:

You have attained perfection; may God turn

its envious eyes away from you, in His might.

The slave in your service, who

offered his maiden verses and his seasoned ones,

has received two leather baskets from

    Egypt, and another for provisions.

So favor us with your command—may

we never lack its kāf and its nūn.
