When it traces its descent to a blaze upon the cheeks?

Then, when the wind blows, from it comes what it bestows.

    O gallant Abu al-Qasim, ever

Spared from time's reversals out of love for you!

Would that battalions other than beauty's were rising,

So I might invoke against them your right hand and letters!

Without poems and orations stirring you to my aid.

Except as a description is distinguished from a title.

By fragrant aloeswood and common firewood.
