أَنا مُمْتَطى بَدْرٍ وليث صَوَّرا

أَنا مُمْتَطى بَدْرٍ وليث صَوَّرا

شخصاً زَهَا الدُّنيا بِهِ وَالدِّينِ

شخصاً زَهَا الدُّنيا بِهِ وَالدِّينِ

I am the mount of a full moon and a lion, who together fashioned

A person through whom the world and faith grew splendid.

فأجِلْ لِحَاظَكَ فيَّ تَنْظُرْ آلَةً

فأجِلْ لِحَاظَكَ فيَّ تَنْظُرْ آلَةً

جَمَعَتْ محاسِنَ هالَةٍ وعَرِينِ

جَمَعَتْ محاسِنَ هالَةٍ وعَرِينِ

So turn your gaze upon me: you will see an instrument

That combined the beauties of a halo and a lion’s den.
