زادكَ الله جلالا

زادكَ الله جلالا

وبهاءً وكمالا

وبهاءً وكمالا

May God increase your majesty,

and your splendor and perfection.

فلقد فاضَتْ يمينا

فلقد فاضَتْ يمينا

ك على العافي نوالا

ك على العافي نوالا

For indeed, your two right hands overflowed

with bounty upon the supplicant.

ولقد قابلَ جدوى

ولقد قابلَ جدوى

كفِّك العُدْمَ فزالا

كفِّك العُدْمَ فزالا

And indeed, the bounty of

your palm confronted destitution, and it vanished.

ولقد لُحْتَ لنا في

ولقد لُحْتَ لنا في

أفقِ المجدِ هِلالا

أفقِ المجدِ هِلالا

And indeed, you appeared to us on

the horizon of glory, a crescent moon.

أيها الحافظُ لم تُلْ

أيها الحافظُ لم تُلْ

فِ لك العينُ مِثالا

فِ لك العينُ مِثالا

O guardian, the eye has not

found your equal.

رُكنُ عزّي بعد تشيي

رُكنُ عزّي بعد تشيي

دٍ لعمرو الله مالا

دٍ لعمرو الله مالا

The pillar of my honor, after being raised,

has tilted—by God's life.

وأرى حاليَ عمّا

وأرى حاليَ عمّا

كنتَ ترضى لي حالا

كنتَ ترضى لي حالا

And I see my condition, from what

you once approved for me, has changed.

وأجِرْني وابقَ في عزٍّ

وأجِرْني وابقَ في عزٍّ

رفيعٍ لن يُنالا

رفيعٍ لن يُنالا

And grant me refuge, and remain in honor

so lofty that it will never be attained.
