أحمَدُAhmad الآبيّal-Abi فيهin him أبنةٌa desire to be sodomized
أحمَدُ الآبيّ فيه أبنةٌ
ولكمand how often عوقِبَhe was punished فيهاfor it ولَكَمْand how often
ولكم عوقِبَ فيها ولَكَمْ
Ahmad al-Abi has a desire to be sodomized.
Ahmad's father has a daughter
And how often he has been punished for it—how often!
And how much he was punished through her, and how much
فثقواso put your trust بيin me مُخبراًreporting عنabout رجُلٍa man
فثقوا بي مُخبراً عن رجُلٍ
هوhe فيin الآدابliterature شيخيmy teacher والحكَمْand the arbiter
هو في الآداب شيخي والحكَمْ
So trust me as I tell of a man
Trust me as one informing of a man
who is my teacher in letters and the arbiter.
Who is my master in morals and wisdom
خبرٌa report لوif لمnot أحدّثْكُمI told you بهof it
خبرٌ لو لم أحدّثْكُم به
كانwould have been أولىmore fitting بيfor me منthan النُطْقِspeech البَكَمْmuteness
كان أولى بي من النُطْقِ البَكَمْ
A report—had I not told you of it,
News, if I didn't tell you
muteness would have befitted me more than speech.
It would be more fitting for me than muted speech
أناI ممّنamong those who فيin بيتِهhis house
أنا ممّن في بيتِه
وكذاand likewise فيin بيتِهhis house يُؤتىis visited (a sexual innuendo) الحَكَمْthe arbiter
وكذا في بيتِه يُؤتى الحَكَمْ
I am among those in his house,
I am one of those whose house
and likewise, in his house the arbiter is 'visited.'
And the house he enters to seek wisdom
