فاحْتيالي مضاعفٌ أشجاني
Who will help me against a slender-waisted woman?
The one who is my support in my delicate waist,
For my scheming redoubles my sorrows.
His deceit has multiplied, my yearning is doubled,
أحسنتshe showed kindness كيso as to تزيدshe increases فيin الصدِّrejection همِّيmy grief
أحسنت كي تزيد في الصدِّ همِّي
فهيso she مذمومةblamed علىfor الإحسانkindness
فهي مذمومة على الإحسان
She showed kindness to deepen my grief through rejection,
You were kind that my sadness would increase,
So she is blamed for her kindness.
So it is condemned for kindness.
