وقفت كواكبه من الإعياء
What ails my night, that it does not move, as though
Why does my night not pass as though
its stars have halted from exhaustion?
Its stars stood still, exhausted?

أعمى يسائلُ عن عصا الجوزاء
And as though Saturn, in its horizons,
As though the cosmos in its orbit
were a blind man asking for Orion’s staff.
Were a blind man seeking Virgo's staff
