لقد عدناكُم لمَّا ضعفتم

لقد عدناكُم لمَّا ضعفتم

ولا والله ما وافيتمونا

We did visit you when you grew weak.

When you were weak, we returned to you,

But no, by God, you did not come to us.

أقيموا في ضناكم أو أفيقوا

فإن عدنا فإنا ظالمونا

فإن عدنا فإنا ظالمونا

Remain in your wasting sickness, or recover.

Stay asleep or wake up,

For if we visit again, then we are wrongdoers.

For if we return, we wronged ourselves.
