Thus may the crescent moons always meet a rising star

The new moon always rises upon you

over you with the lights of good fortune—how splendid!

with auspicious light, so excel yourself!

ويصنع فينا الجودُ صفواً مهنّئاً

ويصنع فينا الجودُ صفواً مهنّئاً

ولا حظراً فيه عليك ولا قذى

ولا حظراً فيه عليك ولا قذى

And generosity brings us pure delight, offering congratulations,

Generosity makes in us a clarity that brings joy;

and in it there is no restriction upon you, nor a mote in the eye.

in it no prohibitions on you, no disapproval.

ومهما وضعت المنّ في مستحقه

ومهما وضعت المنّ في مستحقه

فوالله ما مدت إليك يد الأذى

فوالله ما مدت إليك يد الأذى

And whenever you bestow a favor on its deserving recipient,

However much you place kindness in the deserving,

then, by God, the hand of harm will not stretch toward you.

by God, the hand of harm will never reach out to you.
