The sanctuary's noble women ransom its noble men among you.

The best of protectors ransom their honor with generosity

O family of the house of glory, excellence, and noble lineage!

O people of nobility, merit, and pedigree

أما وقد بقيت عليا سمائكمو

أما وقد بقيت عليا سمائكمو

فما يضرّ زوال السبعة الشهب

فما يضرّ زوال السبعة الشهب

Now that the summit of your heaven endures,

As long as your sublime heavens remain over me

what harm is there in the passing of the seven radiant stars?

Then the fading of the seven planets does no harm

جادت ضريحك للرضوان غادية

جادت ضريحك للرضوان غادية

يا أخت خير أخ يا بنت خير أب

يا أخت خير أخ يا بنت خير أب

May a morning raincloud shower your tomb with divine favor,

Your tomb proceeds to satisfaction freely given

O sister of the finest brother, O daughter of the finest father!

O sister of the best brother, daughter of the best father

يا نبعة الفضل مذ فاز التراب بها

يا نبعة الفضل مذ فاز التراب بها

لم تَسر من حجُب إلا إلى حُجب

لم تَسر من حجُب إلا إلى حُجب

O sapling of excellence, since the earth won her,

O spring of virtue, since the earth won you

she has journeyed only from veils into veils.

You have not emerged from seclusion except into deeper seclusion

أجلّ ذكرك عن سعد وأعلم ما

أجلّ ذكرك عن سعد وأعلم ما

تلقى العلا بك من هم ومن حرب

تلقى العلا بك من هم ومن حرب

I exalt your memory above Sa'd, and I know what

Your mention is most sublime, above all Sa'd, and I know well

grief and loss glory suffers on your account.

What heights of glory you have reached, despite strife

فإن عذلت أبا ذرّ الثناء فقد

فإن عذلت أبا ذرّ الثناء فقد

عذرت من خاطر العليا أبا لهب

عذرت من خاطر العليا أبا لهب

For if you reproach the Abu Dharr of praise, then

So if you reproach Abu Dharr for praise,

you have excused Abu Lahab, who dared challenge lofty glory.

You have reproached one whose heart is set on high
