شرعت يدا قاضي القضاة محمد

شرع الندَى في كل حال واهي

شرع الندَى في كل حال واهي

The hands of Muhammad, chief of judges, have laid down

The hand of the Judge of Judges, Muhammad, began

The law of generosity in every state of weakness.

Laying down the law rightly in every case

فإذا بغى فقري عليّ حملته

فإذا بغى فقري عليّ حملته

بيدي إلى شرع ابن عبد الله

بيدي إلى شرع ابن عبد الله

So when my poverty wrongs me, I bring it

So if my poverty weighs heavily upon me

With my own hand to the law of Ibn Abd Allah.

I carry it in my hands to the law of the Son of Abdullah
