بعثَ الرئيسُ لرزقه البابا

خابت ورمتُ الرَّازقَ الوهَّابا

خابت ورمتُ الرَّازقَ الوهَّابا

The chief sent the pope for his sustenance.

The president sent for his sustenance from the Pope

It came to nothing, and I sought the Provider, the Bestower.

But failed and accused the All-Provider of false hope

فأتى إليَّ الرزقُ يسعى منشداً

فأتى إليَّ الرزقُ يسعى منشداً

كسّ أختِ رزقٍ لا يدقُّ البابا

كسّ أختِ رزقٍ لا يدقُّ البابا

Then sustenance came running to me, chanting:

Then sustenance came to me seeking on its own

“Fuck the sister of sustenance that does not knock at the door!”

Unlike the sustenance whose sister won't knock on a door
