تهنّ بها خلعةً قدّمت

تهنّ بها خلعةً قدّمت

بأمثالها موجبات البشاره

Rejoice in it—a robe of honor that has brought forth,

She was adorned with a robe that foretold

Through others like it, grounds for glad tidings;

Good tidings with the likes of her

ومرتبة نبَّأت بالسعود

ومرتبة نبَّأت بالسعود

فكانت كما قيل نعم الأمارة

فكانت كما قيل نعم الأمارة

And a rank that foretold good fortune,

And a rank that announced prosperity

So it was, as was said, an excellent omen.

Thus she was, it is said, an excellent omen

سعودك عندي زهر الربيع

سعودك عندي زهر الربيع

وعند عدوك شقّ المراره

وعند عدوك شقّ المراره

Your good fortune is to me the blossoms of spring,

Your prosperity is to me the spring flower

And to your enemy, the splitting of the gallbladder.

And to your enemy the splitting of bitterness
