لا يبرح الناس في محل وفي شظف

حتَّى يجدد لي في وجهه سفر

حتَّى يجدد لي في وجهه سفر

People remain in drought and hardship,

People don't stay in one place, in hardship,

Until a journey toward him is arranged anew for me.

Until their faces show me it's time to travel again.

هناك تلقى غوادِي المزْن هاطلةً

هناك تلقى غوادِي المزْن هاطلةً

الحمد لله بي يستنزل المطر

الحمد لله بي يستنزل المطر

There you find the morning rainclouds pouring down;

There the rainclouds pour down their flooding rains-

Praise be to God—through me the rain is called down.

Thanks be to God, who sends down the rain.
