لاno عيبَfault فيin برِّgenerosity مولاناour lord سوىexcept
لا عيبَ في برِّ مولانا سوى
أنthat ليسnot يكتمis concealed عنfrom ساريهone coming to him by night آثارsigns
أن ليس يكتم عن ساريه آثار
Our lord’s generosity has no fault, save
No fault in our teacher's virtue but that
That its signs are not concealed from one who comes to him by night.
He cannot hide the traces of his being,
وليسand not يكتمis concealed والكانونwhile the brazier مرتفعٌraised high
وليس يكتم والكانون مرتفعٌ
كأنهas though it were علمa mountain فيat رأسهits summit نارfire
كأنه علم في رأسه نار
Nor is it concealed, with the brazier raised high,
And though he would conceal them, high they rise
As though it were a mountain with a fire at its summit.
Like fire ablaze on the mountain's peak.
