يا ناصب القدّ عالي الحسن مرتفع
فالحبّfor love ماwhat lies بينbetween منصوبerect; also accusative ومرفوعand uplifted; also nominative
فالحبّ ما بين منصوب ومرفوع
O you of erect stature, lofty in beauty, exalted!
O you who walks with pride, of lofty beauty
For love lies between the upright and the uplifted.
Love between us declines and rises
جوارحيmy limbs وكتابيand my book قدindeed نهبتهماyou have plundered them both
جوارحي وكتابي قد نهبتهما
ففيso in يديكyour two hands علىin الحالينboth cases مجموعيmy entirety; my collection
ففي يديك على الحالين مجموعي
You have plundered both my limbs and my book;
You've plundered my being, my writings too
So, in both cases, all of me is in your hands.
So in your hands lies all I own
