ياO خاتمَseal; crowning figure الوزراءِthe viziers الأكرمينthe noblest وياand O
يا خاتمَ الوزراءِ الأكرمين ويا
أوفىmost faithful ذويthose possessing الفخرglory فيin العلياءlofty eminence توكيداin affirmation
أوفى ذوي الفخر في العلياء توكيدا
O seal of the noblest viziers, and O
O seal of the most generous ministers, and O
most faithful of the illustrious in affirming lofty eminence,
most faithful of the honorable in firmness,
وياand O مؤيدMu’ayyad; the supported one فيin قولٍspeech وفيand in عملٍaction
ويا مؤيد في قولٍ وفي عملٍ
توقيعُsignature عبدكyour servant يرجوhopes for منكfrom you تأييداsupport; endorsement
توقيعُ عبدك يرجو منك تأييدا
and O Mu’ayyad, in word and deed,
and O supporter in word and deed,
your servant’s signature seeks your endorsement.

عسىmay تقلدهyou adorn it برًّاkindness ومكرمةًand honor
عسى تقلده برًّا ومكرمةً
فيغتديso it becomes ذلكَthat التوقيعُthe signature تقليداa writ of appointment
فيغتدي ذلكَ التوقيعُ تقليدا
May you adorn it with kindness and honor,
may you endow him with righteousness and honor
so that that signature becomes a writ of appointment.
