1. يا إماماً في مدح علياه صدقٌ

    قد محا كذب غير مدحك ماح

    O imam, whose lofty eminence is praised with truth—

    truth that has erased the falsehood of all praise but yours.

  2. إنَّ أرجوزتي بدارِ حديث ال

    شام تملي عواليَ الأمداح

    Indeed, my rajaz poem, at the House of Hadith of al-

    Sham, dictates the loftiest praises.

  3. وكتاب الصحاح أوتي فما ين

    فك يروى عنكم كتاب الصحاح

    And the book al-Sihah was bestowed; thus it never

    ceases to be narrated on your authority—the book al-Sihah.

  4. لم يضعْ غير نشرها إنما غا

    بت وعادت للباب ذا مفتاح

    Nothing was lost but its dissemination; it merely

    vanished and returned to the door—this is a key.

  5. كلما أذْبلَ الزمانُ نباتي

    جاءني منكمو بسحبٍ سحاح

    Whenever time withered my plants,

    it came to me from you with clouds pouring rain.
