بهاءَO Bahāʾ (splendor) دينfaith of اللهGod حكّمتI made you arbiter فيover
بهاءَ دين الله حكّمت في
ولاءِthe allegiance of قلبِيmy heart والثناand the praise الواجبthat is due
ولاءِ قلبِي والثنا الواجب
O Bahāʾ of God's faith, I have made you arbiter over
The splendor of God’s faith I made the judge
My heart's allegiance and the praise that is due.
Of my heart’s loyalty and due praise
أعتقْنيfree me الهمّfrom sorrow فكانand so it will be الوَلاthe bond of allegiance
أعتقْني الهمّ فكان الوَلا
لابنto the son of عقيلِʿAqīl بنson of أبيAbī (father of) طالبṬālib
لابن عقيلِ بن أبي طالب
Free me from sorrow, and the bond of allegiance will belong
Worry freed me, so devotion became
To the son of ʿAqīl ibn Abī Ṭālib.
For the son of Aqil, son of Abu Talib
