I congratulate you on years that clothe you
renewed, while a cast-off garment is removed from you,
In splendor renewed as rags fall from you,
فيin نعمةٍbounty جزمتhas affirmed بأنكthat you خافضٌone who lowers
في نعمةٍ جزمت بأنك خافضٌ
قدرَthe standing of الحسودthe envier وقدرُكand your standing المرفوعexalted
قدرَ الحسود وقدرُك المرفوع
amid bounty that affirms you bring low
In bounty you are convinced that you debase
the envier’s standing, while your own is exalted.
The envious and raise your station higher.
قدindeed أعجبتhave delighted فيهاwithin it الشهورthe months وأعشبتand have grown green
قد أعجبت فيها الشهور وأعشبت
للقاصدينfor those who come seeking فكلّهنّthus all of them ربيعspring
للقاصدين فكلّهنّ ربيع
Indeed, within it the months have delighted and grown green
Months in it delighted and gave pasture
for those who come seeking; thus all of them are spring.
To all seekers - each of them a spring.
