بأبي فاتر اللّواحظ ألمى
جاءَbrought forth فيهabout him العذولthe reproacher شيئاًsomething فريَّاoutrageous
جاءَ فيه العذول شيئاً فريَّا
May my father be ransom for the languid-eyed, dark-lipped one!
The reproacher brought forth something outrageous about him.
غلبwas overcome الصبرpatience فيin هوىpassion for ناظريهhis two eyes
غلب الصبر في هوى ناظريه
وضعيفانand two weak ones يغلبانboth overcome قويَّاa strong one
وضعيفان يغلبان قويَّا
Patience was overcome by passion for his two eyes:
And two weak ones overcome a strong one.
