Your companionship as you journeyed brought joy

وجرتand flowed علىover الوادِيthe valley وطيبِand the sweetness of بلادِهِits lands
وجرت على الوادِي وطيبِ بلادِهِ
فزهاso it stood proud الصعيدُUpper Egypt علىabove طَهورِthe purifying power of الماءwater
فزها الصعيدُ على طَهورِ الماء
And it flowed over the valley and the sweetness of its lands,
It flowed through the valley and its blessed lands
so Upper Egypt stood proud above water's purifying power.
