وصلتُ إلى قصدِي وسطّر لي بما

أحلّت وصولٌ واستقرَّ حصول

I reached my aim, and there was drawn up for me, for what

I've reached my goal and gained what I desired

was authorized, a receipt; and the gain was secured.

Arrival brought joy and wishes now acquired

ولولا الندى الفخريّ في كلِّ حالةٍ

ولولا الندى الفخريّ في كلِّ حالةٍ

لما كانَ لي في الحالتين وصول

لما كانَ لي في الحالتين وصول

And were it not for Fakhri's bounty in every circumstance,

And if it weren't for pride in how I've fared

I would have had no attainment in either circumstance.

In either case, I'd not have persevered
