I offer the noble chief a gift,
I gift Crimea a present
from a slave who wishes part of his cheek could take its place.
A slave who wishes in its place a cheek
ماnot عدّhe deemed مذsince ملكتtook possession of يمينكyour right hand رقهhis bondage
ما عدّ مذ ملكت يمينك رقه
عيباًa disgrace عليهupon him فلاso no سبيلَway لردّهto turning him away
عيباً عليه فلا سبيلَ لردّه
Since your right hand came to own him, he has not deemed his bondage
Since owning your hand a fault was not reckoned
a disgrace to him; so there is no way to turn him away.
For it cannot be returned, no way or streak
