I have not forgotten her whose fingertips were sought after; in her hand
I have not forgotten my beloved's slender fingers
A cup—from both came sustenance for my gaze and soul.
Holding a cup feeding my lips and spirit

Like embers upon the rubies of her fingertips;
Like embers on a ruby her fingers
Then the embers went out, while the rubies remained rubies.
Then the embers died out but the ruby remained ruby
