I have no way to forget you;
I have no way to you without longing
so disregard the reproacher and whatever he may say.
So leave coyness and what it may say

While your memory is hearts' friend

I yearn for the passing breeze with a heart
I sigh for the passing of the gentle breeze

Hoping for healing though it is frail

And I confide the wound of my limbs to grief
yet grief's wounding is a setting right.
Though grieving's wounding is healing

As for the heart's passion, it is plenty
within me; but forgetting is not beautiful.
For me, though longing is not seemly

Leave shyness, for you know not my youth
and the knowing and the ignorant are far from alike.
While the knowing is far and ignorant near

Like the bending of palm trees in Rayyan

If the home of pottery is weighed with his mention
then his fingers are ever active in noble deeds.
Its structure for generosity is active

his palm's fervor would wipe the kisses away.
Its back would be kissed by kissing
