How splendid your verse upon the pages! Indeed,

Your composition for the roosters, it has

Eyes and thoughts have found delight in it.

Blessed the gazes and thoughts

أوراق حظ كلها ثمر

أوراق حظ كلها ثمر

وبحور شعرٍ كلّها درر

وبحور شعرٍ كلّها درر

Leaves of good fortune, all of them fruit;

Pages of pure fortune, all bearing fruit

And seas of poetry, all of them pearls.
