إلىuntil كمhow long يخوضwades الدمعُthe tears فيكَfor your sake ويلعبand plays
ويتعبand grows weary فيهof it منwhoever يلومblames ويعتبand reproaches
How long will tears wade and play for your sake,
To how much does the tear delve into you and play
And those who blame and reproach grow weary of it?
And tire in it who blames and reproaches
رشاًa young gazelle ترفعraise الناسُthe people العيونthe eyes لحسنهِfor his beauty
ولكنّbut عيناهhis two eyes علىupon الناسِthe people تنصبare trained
A young gazelle, for whose beauty people lift their eyes,
Sprinkling people raise their eyes to its beauty
Yet his two eyes are trained upon the people.
But his eyes on the people are set
يلذّdelights لسمعيto my hearing ذكرهُmention of him لذةَthe delight الثناof praise
كسمعِlike the hearing of ابنson of موسىMusa كلماwhenever مرّpasses يعذَبgrows sweet
His mention delights my ear as praise delights
My hearing takes pleasure in his mention, the pleasure of praise
Ibn Musa's ear, growing sweet each time it passes.
Like the hearing of the son of Moses whenever he passed, he was tortured
وكمand how many منof يدٍa hand بيضاءَwhite فيin كلّevery سوودٍdarkness
بدتappeared لابنfor the son of موسىMusa فهيso it is إرثan inheritance ومكسبand an acquisition
And how many a white hand, amid every darkness,
And how many white hands in every black
Has shone forth for Ibn Musa—both inherited and earned.
Appeared to the son of Moses, so it is an inheritance and gain

Lovers, learning, and generosity have embraced a creed;
The lovers, knowledge, and dew have been diverse
Izz al-Din's virtues form a creed among humankind (apparent intended reading).
No manners, Aziz Al-Din in creation method

And, by my life, every land he inhabits has grown pleasant,
And good for my life is every land where he stays
And every place where glory sprouts is pleasant.
And every place the dignity grows good
