عندِيfrom me استفادgained ذووthose possessing التأدُّبrefinement والذكىand intelligence
عندِي استفاد ذوو التأدُّب والذكى
قولاًverse نباتياًNubatian (plant-like) رَعواthey grazed روضاتهits gardens
قولاً نباتياً رَعوا روضاته
From me, men of refinement and intelligence have gained
The cultured and the wise benefitted from my saying,
Nubatian verse, whose gardens they grazed.
They grazed the meadows of my words.
فأناso I الحقيقthe one deserving بقولof the saying أحمدAhmad منone who إذاwhen
فأنا الحقيق بقول أحمد من إذا
قطفَplucked الرجالthe men القولspeech عندat نباتهits sprouting
قطفَ الرجال القول عند نباته
Thus I merit Ahmad's words: "One who, when
So I am the most deserving to utter the words of Ahmad,
Men pluck speech at its sprouting..."
When men pluck words at their blossoming.
